BIGMallrat's Editorial Review
Town
Center Corte Madera has reinvented itself as a lifestyle center,
but it hasn't lost its charming identity as a community and
neighborhood center. Decidedly so, the mix of stores serves a diverse
range of needs. From neighborhood stores like Safeway to regional
draws such as the Container Store. Shopping couldn't be easier.
Atmosphere
Town Center's architecture is modeled after an
Italian hill town. It really is beautiful and you almost forget you're
in Marin. I could think of nothing better than dining in an outdoor
cafe here. The architects really accomplished what they set out to
do; get people to stay longer. Lingering at this shopping center
includes some of the best people watching in the Bay Area.
Stores
You'll find many
cool shops; including West Elm, Z Gallerie, and REI.
Although the mall's high-end facade appears ritzy, you can still
find bargain stores
like Shoe Pavilion. For the neighborhood, you may find Safeway and
the Bank of Marin convenient.
What differentiates this mall from all others
is the one-of-a-kind boutiques that are not found elsewhere.
Food
This mall has an extensive selection of delightful
cafes and restaurants, including Il Fornaio, Champagne French Bakery,
P.F. Chang's China
Bistro, California Pizza Kitchen, and A. G. Ferrari. For non-foodies,
there is a McDonalds. Save room for desert and visit Ciao Bella for
gelato.
A farmers market is held every Wednesday from
noon to 5 PM.
Parking
We found parking to be relatively easy. The parking
lot surrounds the mall and has plenty of spaces, all within a reasonable
walk from the mall.
Location
Town Center is conveniently located
in Corte Madera CA, off Hwy 101 and the west side of Paradise Drive.
While you are here
You may also want to visit The
Village on the east side of Paradise Drive.
