BIGMallrat's Editorial Review
Marin County's premier shopping center, the
Village at Corte Madera represents super-chic shops and super-chic
people. Basically, the Stanford Shopping Center of Marin County.
Atmosphere
A minor renovation was completed early
December 2005. It updated the walkways with playful art, fountains,
an outdoor fire pit, and a fresh coat of paint.
Stores
The Village has unique architecture and high-end
national retailers that make it worth a visit alone. Among others,
you'll find an Anthropologie, Coach, Restoration Hardware, Pottery
Barn, Martin+Osa, and Banana Republic. The Macy's isn't full-scale;
only two floors.
Food
The mall is lacking many restaurants and they
closed the food court. However, there is a Boudin Bakery and The
Cheesecake Factory.
Parking
Instead of being surrounded by a parking lot,
This shopping center lays entirely on one side. The parking
lot is then concentrated on the east side. The truly adventurous
could try the limited number of parking spaces on the west side,
but you'll need lots of good luck. Nonetheless, regardless of the
distance away from the center, we found parking to be relatively
easy.
Location
The Village is conveniently located
in Corte Madera CA, at Hwy 101 and the east side of Paradise Drive.
While you are here
You may also want to check out Town
Center on the west side of Paradise Drive.
