BIGMallrat's Editorial Review
Gilroy
Premium Outlets is so big, I practically guarantee that you will
be exhausted if you walk it all. They started building and
just kept going. Now the shopping center, in four separate sections,
covers both sides of the street.
Atmosphere
Freshly painted in updated colors, some buildings
feature an Art Deco-type styling. Yet, typical of many factory outlet
shopping centers, the architecture is rather dull. However, don't
judge a book by its cover. It's the bargains contained inside each
of the shops.
Stores
Gilroy Outlets offers the bargain hunter
the premium of the premium outlets. Too numerous to list, you can
find just about anything here. Sometimes twice.
A new ColeHaan Factory Store opened in June 2006.
Food
At times, the selection of food seems limited. However, many sit-down
restaurants are now available, including Applebee's, Fresh Choice,
and the delicious Erik's Deli Cafe. Nearby you'll find McDonald's,
Chevy Fresh Mex, and Ginger Cafe for bargain Dim Sum.
Parking
Parking, for the most part, is fairly easy. A
large parking lot serves the center well. However, Building A, between
Arroyo Circle and Hwy 101, has what seems to be a single entrance/exit,
and a large concentration of stores surrounding the lot. For that
reason, it can be a real hassle on busy weekends. We recommend parking
across the street and walking.
Location
Gilroy Outlets is conveniently located
off Hwy 101 at Leavesley Road in Gilroy California. The shopping
center is located on the north and south sides of Leavesley.
