BIGMallrat's Editorial Review
Del
Monte Center is Monterey's only regional shopping mall.
It features a pleasing selection of stores and a thirteen-screen
Century Theatres for entertainment.
Atmosphere
Taking advantage of the mild climate, this mall
is open-air with plenty of lush gardens and pleasant
seating areas. Its unique roof makes it clearly
visible from the freeway. The large overhangs are well-lit and provide
protection from the rainy season.
Stores
You'll find the largest collection of stores in
the area, including such favorites as The Gap, Borders Express, Pacific
Sunwear, Lane Bryant, and Macy's Furniture Gallery. Also some services
like LensCrafters, The UPS Store, and Country Club Cleaners. In general,
the shops cater to mid to high-end customers.
Because some shops
face the mall and others face the parking lot. Take time to walk
around each building.
Food
You'll find a large selection of eateries and
restaurants, including California Pizza Kitchen and Cold Stone Creamery.
Don't miss smaller venues like Boadies American Grill, Pizza My Heart,
and Elli's Great American Restaurant.
P. F. Chang's China Bistro will be opening a location
here in fall of 2007.
Parking
A large lot serves the mall well. In general,
parking is a little easier on the north side, near Macy's, but
is a little more difficult around the cinema.
Location
Del Monte Center is located in Monterey California,
off Hwy 1 at Munras Avenue.
