BIGMallrat's Editorial Review
Stoneridge mall in Pleasanton really
is the best shopping center in the East Bay. Even though its true
competitor, Sun
Valley mall, is larger, this center is lighter and brighter.
You can pretty much walk into any entrance and not feel like it'll "take
forever" to get to the other side.
Stoneridge mall has completed a minor renovation, replacing
the outdating seating pits with grade-level soft seating areas. You'll
find chairs, sofas, and floor lamps on decorative tiles. In addition,
an expansion is planned, including
Nordstrom
building
a
new
two level store adjacent to its existing store. The old
building will be turned into shops and a cinema.
Stores
Stoneridge mall features the anchor stores many
people want together, Nordstrom, JC Penney, Sears, Macy's Men's,
and Macy's Women's. In addition, there is a pleasing selection
of shops, such as Aldo, Coach, Abercrombie & Fitch, and the Apple
store.
Food
You won't find a food court here. Restaurants
and eateries are generally grouped around the entrances. Most offer
their own seating.
P.F. Chang's China Bistro and The Cheesecake Factory
are now open just outside Macy's Women's.
Parking
Parking can be a bear at this shopping
center due to its popularity, but plenty of parking can be found
in the garage near Sears, or near Macy's Men's.
Valet parking is available on the west side of
Macy's Women's, near P.F. Chang's.
Location
Stoneridge mall is conveniently located in Pleasanton
CA at the intersection of I-580 and I-680. You can exit Foothill
Road south from 580 or Stoneridge Drive west from 680. From there,
you can see the mall and easily make your way (follow the traffic!).
