 With the recent remodel, Sherwood
Mall now trumps
its neighbor, Weberstown Mall,
in appearance.
Atmosphere
Using the Craftsman style as inspiration, the
exterior was tastefully updated. Up-to-date colors and beautiful
ledge stone give the building a chic and lasting beauty.
Inside you'll find ledge stone pillars,
palm trees, tasteful lighting, and comfortable soft seating areas.
Sherwood Mall has raised the bar for shopping center design in the
Central Valley.
Stores
You'll find a nice collection of anchor stores,
including Gottschalks, Macy's, and Best Buy. Outside the mall, you
can find Petco, Shoe Pavilion, and HomeGoods.
Inside the mall, you can find many national retailers
with some local, one-of-a-kind stores.
Food
The food court, referred to as "The Patio," is
a shining star. It features a variety of restaurants and a wall of
glass bricks. With a retractable hood skylight and a garden-like
atmosphere, this food court is a great place to eat and hang out.
Location
Sherwood Mall is located in Stockton CA. From
I-5, exit east March Lane. Drive 1.5 miles and turn left on Pacific
Avenue. The mall is on the right.
Warning! March Lane and Pacific
Avenue both have numerous red-light cameras.
History
Sherwood Mall opened in 1979 with 32 stores,
anchored by Macy's and Montgomery Ward. In 1985, Gottschalks was
added and four years later, the center was expanded to include additional
retail space.
Of interest...
Sherwood is one of the very few locally owned
malls in the country.
