BIGMallrat's Editorial Review
West
Valley Mall in Tracy is one
of the newer enclosed malls in northern California, and is a
fairly middle-of-the-road shoppping center.
Atmosphere
West Valley Mall's architecture is rather uneventful.
The skylights are a plus, making it light and bright. However, near
Target, the skylights stop and it gets dark. Why the builders did
that, we don't know.
Stores
You'll find mostly
mainstream stores and a number of shops not typically found in other
malls. It's a refreshing change and makes this shopping center worth
visiting on a regular basis. We especially liked the Gottschalks,
Target, and Ross. The
JC Penney and Sears are both one level and offer a smaller selection
than larger branches in Modesto and Pleasanton.
Food
The plus is the food court. It has a carousel for the kiddies and
plenty of food for everyone. Also attached is the Cinemark Tracy
14 cinema, which appears to be the heart of the mall.
Parking
We have always found parking a breeze. If you
drive to the back, you'll find ample parking.
Location
West Valley Mall is conveniently located right
off I-205 at Grant Line Road in Tracy CA. Easy-on, easy-off ramps
to the mall make it simple to find without a map.
